Jean Mashino

The Association is dedicated to encouraging the potential within each individual we serve and, whenever possible, working with them to become responsible, taxpaying members of their community.

One such person is Jean Mashino, a long-term, hardworking employee at a motel in Lenox.Over time it became clear that she was capable of taking on more responsibility. The Association worked with her to develop her skills and helped coordinate the search for a higher level job.

Today Jean is the proud member of a team of co-workers at a major hotel in Pittsfield where she deals with new tasks on an ongoing basis.

Her transition went so well that she was nominated for, and received, one of The Association’s Achievement Awards at this year’s Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

Jean says The Association listened to what she had to say, to what she wanted for herself, and helped her grow. “I feel good about myself!”
